This is one of the most famous drawings by Leonardo da Vinci. It depicts a human fetus lying inside a dissected uterus. Leonardo da Vinci is considered to be the very first person to correctly depict the human fetus in its natural position within the womb.
Da Vinci’s attention to detail is just so incredible. I have featured a number of his drawings on tee shirts and he one of my favourite sources of inspiration. Take a good close up view of this image and you’ll appreciate it more and more.
