North by Northwest is one of the greatest thrillers of all time. It was directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1959 and stars Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, and James Mason.
It is a story of mistaken identity, with an innocent man (Cary Grant) being chased across the United States. The movie score is written by Bernard Herrmann and the famous opening title sequence was designed by Saul Bass. It is one of the best Alfred Hitchcock films of the 1950s and is widely considered one of the greatest thrillers of all time.
