In Norse mythology, Huginn (Old Norse: “thought” and Muninn (Old Norse “memory” or “mind”) are a pair of ravens closely connected with Odin. Each morning at sunrise, Odin would send them to fly around the nine realms to gather information. In the evening, they would return to Odin in Asgard and report their findings to him.
Huginn and Muninn are mentioned in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the thirteenth century from earlier sources: the Prose Edda and Heimskringla. The names of the ravens ae often anglicized as Hugin and Munin.
