This image is inspired by the movie The Secret of Kells by Cartoon Saloon. The scene depicts a sì (a fairy-like creature from Irish mythology) singing to a cat. She is using the magic of her voice to transform the cat into a non-physical being who can rescue a friend trapped in a tower.
The cat is called Pangur Bán, named after the white cat in the medieval Old Irish poem ‘Pangur Bán’, written by an Irish monk in a 9th-century Austrian abbey.
