The philosophers’ stone was the core symbol of the mystical terminology of alchemy. It symbolized perfection, enlightenment, and heavenly bliss. Efforts to discover the philosopher’s stone were known as the Magnum Opus. It is the first also the name of the first book in the Harry Potter series.
