A second version of one of the creepiest costumes of all time. A plague doctor was a physician who treated victims of the bubonic plague while wearing an outfit like this one. They were often hired by towns during outbreaks and they treated everyone; both the wealthy and the poor. The horrific looking beak-shaped nose was intended to protect the doctors from becoming infected.
